Course Overview

The Women’s Health and Menopause (WHAM) course provides a comprehensive curriculum for providers to gain expertise in the care of perimenopausal and menopausal women from national and international experts in the field, addressing topics only superficially covered in other courses. WHAM provides detailed evidence-based instruction in the science of menopause, menopausal hormone therapy, women’s sexual health, women’s cardiovascular health, lifestyle medicine for women, the effect of estrogen on the brain, testosterone therapy in women, and the effect of hormones throughout a women’s body during her lifespan. We do not shy away from discussing cutting edge, controversial and off-label uses of hormone therapy to equip providers for the many questions that arise from the 50 million menopausal women in the United States that currently have only partial answers. WHAM 2026 will feature an expanded curriculum with a module on an evidence-based approach to integrative medicine, the musculoskeletal syndrome of menopause and complexities in the care of women at risk for, or living as, breast cancer survivors.

The faculty presentation and case discussions will ignite your passion for excellence in the care of women during midlife and menopause. WHAM invites the very best speakers and most respected experts to deliver an exciting week of instruction. WHAM is a comprehensive five-day course/curriculum/mini-fellowship in women’s health and menopause care designed by a multidisciplinary team of national, international and Harvard Medical School experts. It addresses the need for comprehensive care of women in midlife and menopause utilizing evidence-based knowledge on a broad range of health topics, integrating hormonal changes throughout the body and the treatment of medical symptoms and disorders from midlife and beyond.

Our goal is to enhance your professional expertise in the cutting edge, evidence-based comprehensive care of women in perimenopause, menopause and post-menopause. This course will improve your confidence and competence as a women’s health clinician and guide you to improved clinical strategies for caring for women as they enter midlife and beyond. Join the groundswell of advocacy for women including support for removal of the Blackbox warning, the call for better data, and the availability of female dosing for testosterone. Accept no substitutes, this is the one and only authentic Harvard Women’s Health and Menopause course 2026.
